Caitlin Morris is a multidisciplinary artist with formal training in drawing and painting. Her work is informed by an academic focus in Women’s Studies and growing up in different regions of the United States, which exposed her to unique people, places, and ways of thinking.

Her acrylic paintings are memorable for applying a surreal and feminist lens to the human experience through vivid colors and dreamlike imagery. The often figurative work reflects physical strength, emotional vulnerability, and a connection to natural and urban habitats. Viewers are challenged to fearlessly explore neglected parts of their identity and the complicated world in which we live.

Caitlin’s work has been featured in galleries and museums across the nation, as well as Europe. In 2023, the City of Charlotte awarded grant funding for her curatorial debut of Thrive, a mental health themed group show and immersive community event. In 2022, the Arts & Science Council of Charlotte named her an Emerging Creative Fellowship semi-finalist. In addition, she has been commissioned for commercial work, murals and community initiatives. Her work is held privately throughout the US and abroad.

Prior to a professional arts career, Caitlin found success as a janitor, nonprofit program manager, singer in punk bands, street outreach and homeless shelter worker, and eventually pursued a decade-long career in finance including, obtaining a CFP® certification among other designations.

In 2024, Caitlin relocated to San Antonio, TX. Currently she is exploring music composition and filmmaking in attempts to integrate her visual arts expertise with a captivating auditory and narrative experience.
